Class Schedule

 

Most cooking classes start at 6:30 unless noted. Reservations and prepayment required. Call 910-725-1345 to verify availability. All classes are hands on participation in preparation of menu items.

In addition to the scheduled classes we also offer private evenings with menu options available for parties of eight. Scheduled classes with 8 slots available are subject to menu changes. 24 hour notice required for cancellation to reschedule or receive a refund.

We've got great classes for date night, family night, friends night out, team building exercises, kids cooking classes and birthday parties along with bridal showers.

Wednesday, May 24th - 6:30 pm $45 - Hands on Mediterranean Eggplant Parmesan: This class includes the preparation of eggplant Parmesan along with a delicious chick pea salad full of fresh herbs and spices from our garden. Vegetarian, vegan or gluten-free options are available.

Friday, May 26th - 6:30 pm $45 - Jambalaya (Cajun meaty rice dish): This class will cover the history and preparation of Jambalaya a spicy rice dish originating from the bayous and deltas of the Gulf.

Wednesday, May 31st - 6:30 pm $50 - Bone Broth: This hands-on class will focus on the preparation of chicken bone broth. The lesson will include knife sharpening and safety, whole chicken butchery, broth making, and utilizing the dark and white meat left from preparation. A chicken salad and soup will be made during the class. Each student will receive 16 oz. of prepared bone broth to take home.

Thursday, June 8th – $45 – 6:30 pm - Hands on Moroccan Class with Esther Gore. This class will focus on combing a variety of spices and herbs to create an authentic chicken and couscous dish filled with exotic preserved lemons and wild mountain capers. We will also be making a classic appetizer to enjoy! Vegetarian, vegan or gluten-free options are available.
Friday, June 2nd - $45 - 6:30pm - Hands on Ravioli Making Class. Starting with a basic pasta dough recipe, each student will learn how to make ravioli by hand. Fillings are usually a ricotta based six cheese with fresh garden parsley, oregano, or pesto; or mushroom, sweet potato or goat cheese. You will learn to make a simple creamy cheese sauce. If there is room for another round, the sauce will be a chef's surprise. Vegetarian, vegan or gluten-free options are available.

Wednesday, June 7th – $50 - 6:30 pm -Hands on Thai Coconut Curry with Esther Gore. In this class, we will prepare a delicious chicken appetizer with a homemade peanut sauce. Then, we will dive into the preparation of our Thai coconut curry dish filled with chicken, veggies and organic spices. We will focus on chopping techniques, proper blending and the order of cooking the ingredients. Vegetarian, vegan or gluten-free options are available.

 Thursday, June 8th - 6:30 pm - $50 Hands on Sushi with Esther Gore. This sushi class will take the intimidation out of this Japanese delight. Participants will learn how to prepare sushi rice without using the traditional sugar and salt ingredients. Students will choose from a variety of ingredients to create their own unique sushi rolls. Vegetarian, vegan or gluten-free options are available.

Friday, June 9th - $55 – Knife Skills and Charcuterie Board Class with Tim Caldwell. This class will focus on Charcuterie, the art of cured meat, artisan cheeses, and homemade pickles. The lesson includes instruction in 30-minute flash pickling, homemade crackers and aesthetic arrangement. The charcuterie boards will have 4 different meats and 2 different cheeses to enjoy. Vegetarian, vegan or gluten-free options are available.

Paella

 Saturday, June 10th - 6:30 pm - $55 Hands on Paella Class - This classic Spanish dish will include one of the world’s most sought after spices, saffron, along with fresh seafood, chicken and sausage all cooked in a shallow paella pan. We will focus on chopping and dicing techniques and the cooking order of the various ingredients. Vegetarian, vegan or gluten-free options are available.

 Monday, June 12th - Kid's Hands on Cooking Camp 8:30-11:30am $50 per child ($5 off additional siblings) or $200 for the week. Children will work with a variety of kitchen tools as they make 2-3 recipes each class and have plenty to eat. We only ask that each child brings along a water bottle.

 Wednesday, June 14th - 6:30 pm $45 - Sweet Potato Gnocchi Class with Esther Gore. This hands-on class takes the mystery away from the art of making Italian style potato pasta. It’s made with a brown butter balsamic sauce with a side of seasonal asparagus. Vegetarian, vegan or gluten-free options are available.

Thursday, June 15th - 6:30 pm $45 - Hands on Pierogi Making Class. In this class we will make what is considered a national dish in Eastern European countries like Poland,Ukraine and Solvakia. Pierogi is a simply a filled dumpling. Our version will be a savory one filled with meat and vegetables.

Friday, June 16th - 6:30 pm $55 - Raw Oyster Class. This class with focus on proper oyster shucking techniques, with a focus on cleanliness and safety. We will also hand make a tomato cocktail sauce to accompany our oysters. After demonstrations, our in-house expert will continue shucking oysters for everyone to enjoy. Naturally gluten free.
Saturday, June 17th - 6:30 pm $45 - Game Day Wings & Slaw. In this class, we will make 3 types of sauces for wings as well as 3 separate coleslaw specifically paired to each wing sauce. We will enjoy Southern BBQ wings with a traditional white coleslaw, an Asian orange sauce on wings with a sesame purple cabbage coleslaw, and Spicy Cajun wings with a citrus coleslaw. We will also demonstrate different breading and frying methods. Gluten free options available.
