Class Schedule

 

Most cooking classes start at 6:30 unless noted. Reservations and prepayment required. Call 910-725-1345 to verify availability. All classes are hands on participation in preparation of menu items.

In addition to the scheduled classes we also offer private evenings with menu options available for parties of eight. Scheduled classes with 8 slots available are subject to menu changes. 24 hour notice required for cancellation to reschedule or receive a refund.

We've got great classes for date night, family night, friends night out, team building exercises, kids cooking classes and birthday parties along with bridal showers.

Thursday, July 6th - $50 Hands on Sushi making. This  class will take the intimidation out of this Japanese delight. Participants will learn how to prepare sushi rice without using the traditional sugar and salt ingredients. Students will choose from a variety of ingredients to create their own unique sushi rolls. Vegetarian, vegan or gluten-free options are available.

Friday, July 7th - $50 - 6:30pm Hands on Salvadorian Class - 

Join us as we learn how to make the Salvadorian treat, the papusa. Students will also learn how to make the traditional accompaniments; curtido (cabbage slaw), and salsa roja. Students will individually form and create this Salvadorian style corn flour pastry. (vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options available)

Saturday, July 8th - $50 - 6:30pm Hands on 

Southern Roots class. Students will learn how to make the classic Southern meal- fried chicken and biscuits. Each student will assist in rolling out and cutting their own biscuits as we learn the process of making the most delicious fried chicken. Then we will learn to prepare tasty sides such as smoked ham hock collard greens and homemade buttermilk ranch.

Wednesday, July 12th - $50 Hand Rolled Pasta Class.

Students will get the chance to learn about the traditional methods of making hand rolled pasta. After learning about and forming two different types of dough, each student will learn how to form cavatelli, strozzapretti, and trofie, three different classic style shapes of pasta. Once our pasta is formed, we will learn how to make a creamy mascarpone pistachio pesto, as well as the Italian cacio e pepe sauce.

Thursday, July 13th - 6:30pm - $50 - Hands on Moroccan: This class will focus on combing a variety of spices and herbs to create an authentic chicken and couscous dish filled with exotic preserved lemons and wild mountain capers. We will also be making a classic appetizer to enjoy! Vegetarian, vegan or gluten-free options are available.

Friday, July 14th - 6:30pm Hands on Ravioli Class - $50 - Starting with a basic pasta dough recipe, each student will learn how to make ravioli by hand. Fillings are usually a ricotta based six cheese with fresh garden parsley, oregano, or pesto; or mushroom, sweet potato or goat cheese. You will learn to make a simple creamy cheese sauce. If there is room for another round, the sauce will be a chef's surprise. Vegetarian, vegan or gluten-free options are available. 
Saturday, July 15th 6:30pm - Hands on Lebanese Cuisine:

Come and learn how to make the fresh and healthy foods of Lebanon. The class will start by making and forming the traditional quick-bread naan. After forming your own flatbreads, each student will learn how to make fresh chickpea hummus and baba ganoush from scratch as well as turmeric pickled cauliflower (vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options available).

This classic Spanish dish will include one of the world’s most sought after spices, saffron, along with fresh seafood, chicken and sausage all cooked in a shallow paella pan. We will focus on chopping and dicing techniques and the cooking order of the various ingredients. Vegetarian, vegan or gluten-free options are available.

In this class, we will prepare a delicious chicken appetizer with a homemade peanut sauce. Then, we will dive into the preparation of our Thai coconut curry dish filled with chicken, veggies and organic spices. We will focus on chopping techniques, proper blending and the order of cooking the ingredients. Vegetarian, vegan or gluten-free options are available.

Saturday, August 19th - 6:30pm $50 South African Cuisine: This potjie dish traditionally includes a meat and vegetables like carrots, cabbage, cauliflower and a starch  such as rice or potatoes. These ingredients are all slowly cooked in a pot with Dutch-Malay spices to produce a delicious stew (gluten free options available).
